How to prepare your cacao:
1. Firstly using a scale gather 20g to 30g of your Pure Heart Cacao.
2. Then in your cacao pot, put in 200ml to 300ml of a liquid of your choice (filtered water or a non dairy milk). Avoid soy milk and dairy milk, as these definitely interfere with the flavour, and, potentially the beneficial properties of the cacao.
3. Add your spices to the water and put it on the fire. Options for spices include: salt, cinnamon, cardamom, rose, nutmeg or mint.
4. While the liquid and spices are infusing, chop up your Pure Heart Cacao. Bring the water temperature to a simmer, then add your cacao.
5. Stir the mixture consistently to encourage the cacao to melt. Add any sweetener, best options are: raw honey, agave or maple syrup.
6. Once all combined, take off the heat and to make the cacao thicker use a hand blender. Blend for about 30 seconds.
7. Then pour into your cacao cup/mug/holder and give thanks to mother cacao, and the beautiful Peruvian families that harvested it. Breathe the intention you want into your Pure Heart Cacao, and enjoy this superfood for your heart, body and spirit.
